Andra8 (Installation Version)

Immersive installation of single-channel CGI video surrounding a computer-generated woman, Andra8, who lives and works in isolation in a virtual void. From the apartment where she has been ‘placed’ Andra8 survives off data from her various jobs including virtual assistant, data janitor, and content creator.

Physical elements of the installation, such as carpet and furniture, mirror aspects of the video’s virtual world, creating a blur between the digital and the real. Andra8: my favorite software is being here considers presence, performance, and intimacy within digitally mediated life.
