Alison Nguyen (b. 1986) is New York-based visual artist working in film and photography. She graduated from Brown University in 2009 with a B.A. in Literary Arts. Her work expanded into visual form while studying simultaneously at the Rhode Island School of Design. Since, she has exhibited at both galleries and alternative/site-specific spaces. Her film work has screened at venues such as Palace Film Festival, the Manhattan Independent Film Festival, New Filmmakers at Anthology Film Archives, and Brown University. Nguyen has received awards and residencies from Signal Culture, Vermont Studio Center, Flux Factory, the New York Community Trust, Sundance Directors Labs (Art Dept), The Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Nikon, NM Poetics, Mensa, and Brown University.
